Team GB Football continues it's dialog with The British Olympic Committee and with no definite decision from other organizations
we again told the BOC we have our own team, coaches and training stadium ready and waiting
It was with this prompt the BOC sent us our 2012 football fixtures..... so with little time to go we still have places to fill for players and support staff.
If you would like to apply as a player, coaching staff or volunteer please contact us at info@teamgbfootball.co.uk
Keep tweeting to get us to the Final Of The 2012 Football Olympics
1st July 2011
Latest news is Stuart Pearce will be the team GB football coach, despite the continued rumours of David Beckham being up for the challenge, although Beckham as we all know never rules himself out of anything. Hope Powell has also been put forward as the ladies team boss with equal speculation and controversy.
The FA's continue to bicker and moan... probably because there is no cash income involved for them and seem to want no involvement in the competition.. May be we should get Sepp Blatter in, I'm sure he could think of a way of making a few bob.
We here at teamgb football support entry into the competition and have even offered the Olympic Committee our own team made up of English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Ireland players.. we are still waiting a reply. No surprise there then.
In the meantime who would you like to see playing for team gb, send us your first 11 players and we will publish the best of them here.

The wrangling continues between the football associations as to the entering of a British Football Team into
the 2012 London Olympics. Fifa have said they would allow an English team to represent Great Britain; however
this still seems to be a non starter. How the hell can you have a team from Britain without British players
from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.. It's like saying we are only going to have white players
or blonde haired Aryans.and we know what happened last time that happened. I think it was called World War 2.
We at Team GB football, however, welcome players from all the home nations and in fact we insist that our team
consists of at least 2 from each. We are also proud to announce the inclusion of a gay black Scotsman in the squad
who is proud to wear the flag for Queen and country, sorry no pun intended.
In the meantime we continue our dialog with the British Olympic Committee to officially accept our Team GB
football team which is a true representation of the wide and varied culture of our Great British Island.
