Great Britain 2012 Olympic Football Team (possibly?)

Will we, won't have a football team in the 2012 Olympic Games is the question football fans, players and coaches are all asking.

The latest is WE ARE going to be there... we don't even have to qualify as the host nation as qualification is automatic.

Latest news is Stuart Pearce will be the team GB football coach, despite the continued rumours of David Beckham being up for the challenge, although Beckham as we all know never rules himself out of anything. Hope Powell has also been put forward as the ladies team boss with equal speculation and controversy.

The FA's continue to bicker and moan... probably because there is no cash income involved for them and seem to want no involvement in the competition.. May be we should get Sepp Blatter in, I'm sure he could think of a way of making a few bob.

We here at teamgb football support entry into the competition and have even offered the Olympic Committee our own team made up of English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Ireland players.. we are still waiting a reply. No surprise there then.
